Imagine having the chance to compete for jobs where your skills are in high demand. That’s exactly what this programme is all about—giving you with the skills, confidence, and competence needed to succeed.
Hands-On Learning with a Twist: At the heart of our Virtual Garage® programme lies hands-on experience, including access to a real life garage. But we’ve added Virtual Reality (VR) technology. You’ll use VR to tackle tasks like tyre fitting, brake changes, and oil maintenance. Our easy-to-access workbook is available in both paper and VR formats, making learning enjoyable.
Your Journey, Your Plan: Your success story starts with your own Personal Development Plan (PDP). We’ll help you on your path to success. As you navigate the programme, you’ll use the Daily Shift Reports (DSR) to track your progress.
Real-World Practice: The Virtual Garage® programme doesn’t stop in the virtual world. You’ll apply your new skills alongside qualified professionals at the First Step Trust garage in Woolwich.
Discover Your Unique Learning Style: Unlike a traditional course, this programme allows you to combines different learning methods to match your learning style. We understand that everyone learns differently. We’re here to help you find your own path to success.
Open to All: Is this programme for you? Absolutely! It’s proven to assist those with mental health challenges, unconventional learning styles, hidden disabilities like dyslexia or ADHD, and individuals facing long-term conditions or other disadvantages.
Credentials That Matter: As you progress, you’ll have the chance to earn Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Certificates of Personal Development and Achievement. You’ll also become an IMI member. Your Personal Development Plan and Daily Shift Reports will showcase your skills and make you stand out to potential employers or help you into college.
Your Learning Journey, Your Pace: No need to rush! The 10 Module Programme has no strict timeline. Gain confidence and on-the-job skills in as little as three months or take your time. You can complete all 10 Modules at once or tackle them individually—it’s all up to you.
The 10 Module programme is flexible, building on the things you set out in your PDP.
